Conditional Admission
Admission to both undergraduate and graduate programs.
Since 2009, the Conditional Admission Program has been a joint effort between the CPP Office of Admissions and Enrollment Planning and CPELI.
CPELI students are eligible for Cal Poly Pomona Conditional Applications are accepted year-round. Students can choose to study for the Fall (16 weeks), Spring (16 weeks), or Summer (8 weeks) terms.
To be eligible for CPP Conditional Admission:

Must be academically admissible to CPP
Indicate on CPELI application that you are applying for Conditional Admission
Eligibility Guidelines
Proof of high school graduation
Academic transcripts of last four years of high school (grades 9 – 12) showing a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale
Study and progress to successfully complete CPELI level 5 with grade of “B” or higher
Complete CPELI level 5 before Fall term of admission begins

The English Language Institute (CPELI) at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) for the period of April 2014 through April 2019 and agrees to uphold the CEA Standards for English Language Programs and Institutions. Residence Halls & Suites Living with American university students and other international students provides many opportunities for our students to speak English outside of the classroom. Cal Poly Pomona University Housing Services offers two on-campus accommodation options – the residence halls and residential suites. The Residence Halls are conveniently located on-campus and are within easy walking distance to the academic buildings, computer labs, dining areas,the Bronco Student Center and parking lots. University Village Apartments The Cal Poly Pomona Village offers apartment living adjacent to the campus. Students who are 21 years of age or older or who have completed 36 quarter units at Cal Poly or another accredited university are eligible to live in the Village.
Applying for the Village Since CPELI students do not receive a Bronco ID number until after arrival, interested applicants should first send an email to bothVillage@cpp.edu and cpeli@cpp.edu to request a temporary ID number to be used for the online application. The Rain Bird BioTrek Project is an educational experience for visitors of all ages that emphasizes the need to share knowledge, values, and behaviors that support sustainability on a finite Earth. In its greenhouse, gardens, and stations, it provides interactive educational connections to the tropical rainforest, California's indigeneous plants and people, and other ancient and present day habitats. The Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex is a 165,000 square-foot recreation center at Cal Poly Pomona. ASI operates the facility through its Campus Recreation department.

Take 10 Freeway EAST and exit KELLOGG DRIVE
Keep to the left and travel on KELLOGG DRIVE to the second stop light at SOUTH CAMPUS DRIVE
Make a right-hand turn on SOUTH CAMPUS DRIVE and continue to TEMPLE AVENUE and turn right
Staying in the right-hand lane on TEMPLE AVENUE continue to first stop light (UNIVERSITY DRIVE)

Continue down road next to I-Poly High School and park in parking Lot K1
