Curriculum :
Intensive English program is taught by highly experienced faculty with advanced degrees in applied language. The program divides students in 7 different levels, each with 10 to 15 students. All new students take a placement test before classes start to determine their initial level placement. Completion of the program can take from two months to 16 months depending on initial placement. Promotion to the next level is based on final grades and teacher recommendation. Courses consist of Core courses including grammar, reading, writing, and speaking and listening; Alternative track courses including Speaking English to Get What You Want, Advanced Grammar 1, American Literature, Current Events, and Service Learning. Students may also register for optional electives courses, which include TOEFL Preparation and GMAT/GRE Preparation

This course is for beginner to intermediate students (Levels 100-400).
Do you want to feel more comfortable speaking in English? In this class, you will have fun expressing yourself orally while working in pairs, small and large groups, or alone. Using the improvisational system of InterPlay, you are invited to speak without preparation and to make things up. In addition to expanding your story telling abilities, you will learn other ways to communicate with others using movement, voice, and stillness. Whether you are shy or outgoing, you can learn how to succeed at getting your message across more effectively and enjoy the process!
Be prepared to be amused, expand your abilities, connect with others, find new ways of expressing yourself, relax, and be re-energized. You will more than likely find yourself challenged to stretch a little out of your comfort zone. It will be well worth it!
4. Talk More 2: Speaking English with Confidence(12 hours)
Cost: $160
Class will meet 12 times.
This course is for intermediate to advanced students (Levels 400-700).
Do you want to feel more comfortable speaking in English? In this class (a continuation of Talk More 1), you will have fun expressing yourself orally while working in pairs, small and large groups, or alone. Using the improvisational system of InterPlay, you are invited to speak without preparation and to make things up. In addition to expanding your story telling abilities, you will learn other ways to communicate with others using movement, voice, and stillness. Whether you are shy or outgoing, you can learn how to succeed at getting your message across more effectively and enjoy the process!

Off-campus housing is available year-round. Students can choose from a variety of different housing types, locations, and prices. When considering off-campus options, students should keep the following information in mind:
Off-campus student apartments function like a private dormitory and generally have easy access to the Georgia Tech campus. Students will be responsible for paying the rent for their bedrooms only. These apartments are always furnished and include utilities. Students will have a private bedroom but may share a bathroom, kitchen, and common area with 1-3 roommates, depending on the property and available apartments.
Off-campus traditional apartments are located throughout the city. The communities closest to Georgia Tech are Midtown and Buckhead. Traditional apartments are almost always unfurnished and the student will be responsible for paying the rent for the entire apartment as well as all utilities.

Georgia Tech's main campus occupies part of Midtown Atlanta, bordered by 10th Street to the north and by North Avenue to the south, placing it well in sight of theAtlanta skyline.
