If students need to improve English, the Intensive Language and Culture Program (ILCP) can help them do this. In this program, students will learn the English needed to be successful. It is also a great program if students would like to improve their English and then return to their home country. Avila also has many undergraduate majors people can choose including International Business, Management, Communication, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, Social Work, and many more.

Most international students live in the dormitories while they study at Avila. Living in the dormitories is a good way to meet new friends, participate in campus activities, and adjust to campus life in the U.S. Students who are under 21 typically need to live in the dormitory. Students who are 21 or older may occasionally live off-campus in one of the apartment complexes close to Avila. Avila offers four air-conditioned dormitories. The dormitories are located on campus and are open all year, including holidays. Living on campus gives international students easy access to their classrooms, the library, and computer labs. They will also be able to participate in the many campus activities such as plays, concerts, movies, sports events, and special performances which are all available to dormitory students FREE!

Kansas City is a wonderful place to live. It a large city with approximately 1.6 million people. Located in the center of the United States, Kansas City enjoys all found seasons: fall, winter, spring, and summer. In addition to that, Kansas City is large enough so that there are many activities, cultural events, and places for people to visit as well as a number of museums. There are also many shopping centers in Kansas City for students of Avila University to visit, and the city is as well a home to numerous other shopping malls throughout the area. Sports teams, amusement parks, lakes, movie theaters and much more!

Avila's campus includes classrooms, dormitories, a library, a cafeteria, a snack bar, a student center with a game room, an art gallery, a TV studio, computer laboratories, a theater, an athletic complex for indoor sports such as basketball and volleyball, and sports fields for outdoor sports such as baseball, softball and soccer.
Activity
Students at Avila do all kinds of fun activities. Students can go to plays, shows, sporting events, dances, clubs, and more. They will also be able to watch or participate in soccer, baseball, softball, American football, volleyball, and basketball. Avila offers many clubs that students can be a part of, including the International Student Organization.
