Founded in 1964, Shoreline Community College offers more than 100 rigorous academic and professional/technical degrees and certificates to meet the lifelong learning needs of its diverse students and communities. A. I have not completed high school → Proof of completion of equivalent of U.S. 9th grade if this is your first semester in your high school OR most recent year of high school transcript
B. I have completed high school → Proof of completion of high school OR most recent year of high school transcript

D. I have completed U.S. college/university with F-1 status → Proof of completion of U.S. college/university OR most recent year of U.S. college/university transcript

-Must be at least 16 years of age at program start date
-TOEFL is not required. After admission to the College, you will take our ESL placement test to determine your English proficiency. The test is held during International Student Orientation each quarter.
However, IF you have taken the TOEFL, IELTS, or Step Eiken test in the past two years and received a high score, you may be eligible for academic placement

*We offer rolling admission at Shoreline, which means there are no firm deadlines for students to apply. Please note we are on the quarter system (not the semester system),
so there are 4 opportunities for students to join us each year:

We recommend that students from overseas allow 2-3 months to apply for their chosen quarter. This gives them time to complete the visa interview process and plan for their stay.

Our residence hall is available to all Shoreline students who are at least 17 years old.
Located in the heart of the College’s 83 acres, the building features 68 units that house 216 bed spaces with shared living rooms and kitchens.
This popular option may fill up. Please apply as soon as possible after you are admitted for the best chance of placement.
Homestay
International students often begin their experience in the United States by living in a homestay, which means living with a local, American family.
Students usually have a private bedroom and meals may be included. This is a great way to practice your English and experience American living.
