ELS offers a group study option that includes specialized courses in Business English. This program begins with each regular session and consists of three unique one-session modules of instruction, with four weeks of instruction per module. Students may register for one, two or all three modules.
Students will take 20 General English hours during each week and 10 specialized hours focused on Business English. Students in the Business English course will have the opportunity to explore a variety of business topics and case studies in depth and improve on the following skills: giving presentations; participating in meetings; negotiating agreements; explaining and defining argumentative positions; and using business vocabulary and idiomatic expressions in work-related conversation. •Individual competencies and objectives are addressed through technology-supported learning in the ELS Language Technology Centers.
ELS offers a group study option that includes specialized courses in Business English. This program begins with each regular session and consists of three unique one-session modules of instruction, with four weeks of instruction per module. Students may register for one, two or all three modules.
Students will take 20 General English hours during each week and 10 specialized hours focused on Business English. Students in the Business English course will have the opportunity to explore a variety of business topics and case studies in depth and improve on the following skills: giving presentations; participating in meetings; negotiating agreements; explaining and defining argumentative positions; and using business vocabulary and idiomatic expressions in work-related conversation. Students also practice important writing skills such as reporting and summarizing.

b)If your visa application is rejected or you cancel your booked course prior to the start date and you have not entered the U.S.A. on a student visa sponsored by ELS, ELS will refund all tuition and fees (except the application fee and courier fee).If you enter the U.S.A. on a student visa sponsored by ELS and cancel your booked course or do not report for class, ELS will retain the first four weeks of tuition as a non-refundable fee if you have a booked course of four or eight weeks. If you have a booked course of 12 weeks or more, ELS will retain the first six weeks of tuition as a non-refundable fee.
c)Standard Programs (Intensive English, Semi-Intensive English, American Explorer, Business English)If you withdraw during the first four weeks of your booked course, ELS will retain the first four weeks of tuition and fees as a non-refundable fee. You will be eligible for a prorated tuition refund on any remaining weeks of your booked course. This refund will be calculated by week based on the weekly price for the actual length of study.

This new location is only 15 minutes public transportation - 3 Metro (subway) stops from the Center's location near American University.
At this location, we offer apartments, with 3bedrooms (double occupancy), 2 shared bathrooms in the apartment, a common kitchen and a common living area, with television.
Internet access is available in each room. Apartments come fully furnished.
Kitchen area includes basic utensils, silverware, dishes, bowls, glasses, major appliances (oven, microwave, and dishwasher) and a full size refrigerator/freezer.
Living area consists of a sofa, 2 upholstered chairs, and 2 desks.
In each room there is a set of dressers, a nightstand, along with a double closet.

ELS is only minutes from the American University campus where students have access to campus facilities. Students are also close to many museums, memorials and government buildings.
