You're heading for a bachelor's degree. You've decided to start your college education by earning an associate degree at TCC. We take our role in the crucial, early stages of your education very seriously -- we promise to give you the best possible start in your chosen area of study.
Our transfer programs are carefully designed to meet 2 major goals: * Let you satisfy general degree requirements at most 4-year schools * Give you a solid grounding in the concepts, terms, and practical applications of your specific discipline
Plan carefully and ask questions! As soon as possible, make appointments to speak with advisors in your chosen program at both TCC and your chosen transfer school.
Plan Carefully & Ask Questions! Many courses have prerequisites, are offered only once or twice a year, and are sequential. Careful selection of classes each quarter is necessary to complete the program without delay. For all transfer programs from TCC to 4-year institutions, it's important to make sure you are aware of all the right steps to get where you want to go... and even more important that you plan ahead and are able to take those steps! Step 1: Advising at TCC As soon as you have decided what program you'd like to follow at TCC, schedule an appointment to speak with an advisor in your chosen area. They can help you plan the most efficient schedule for your time here, and make sure you meet the specific prerequisites and scheduling needs for the individual program. Step 2: Advising at Your Chosen Transfer School As soon as you have decided where you want to go after TCC, make an appointment to speak with an advisor at your chosen transfer school. They will help you make sure you meet all requirements for their school and program. Check back frequently to make sure you have the most updated information.
