Students practice conversation and other speaking skills using practical, real-world English. Students learn to write with accuracy and effectiveness, develop strategic listening skills and improve your use of grammar.
Students work on his individual language skills and objectives through technology-supported learning in our modern Language Technology Centers.

a)If ELS accepts your application, but you cancel your booked course, the application fee will not be refunded. However, should you cancel your booked course, you may apply your application fee toward a new course for up to 12 months after your initially scheduled start-date.
b)If your visa application is rejected or you cancel your booked course prior to the start date and you have not entered the U.S.A. on a student visa sponsored by ELS, ELS will refund all tuition and fees (except the application fee and courier fee).If you enter the U.S.A. on a student visa sponsored by ELS and cancel your booked course or do not report for class, ELS will retain the first four weeks of tuition as a non-refundable fee if you have a booked course of four or eight weeks. If you have a booked course of 12 weeks or more, ELS will retain the first six weeks of tuition as a non-refundable fee.
c)Standard Programs (Intensive English, Semi-Intensive English, American Explorer, Business English)If you withdraw during the first four weeks of your booked course, ELS will retain the first four weeks of tuition and fees as a non-refundable fee. You will be eligible for a prorated tuition refund on any remaining weeks of your booked course. This refund will be calculated by week based on the weekly price for the actual length of study.
*California centers' cancellation and refund policy may vary.

Accommodation
Homestay Host family students are responsible for their personal transportation. Most homestay families will be in the suburban, residential areas and will require a short commute(30 mins or less) on public transportation.

The Camden Apartments(Student Residence(On Campus) Each apartment has four single bedrooms, one bathroom, one kitchen, one vanity area, and one living room. Each single bedroom will be furnished with a twin extra-long bed and mattress, dresser, desk, desk chair, and closet space. Each kitchen will have a flat-top electric stove, refrigerator, trash can, and recycling receptacle. Each living room will be furnished with a three-seat sofa, two sitting chairs, and one coffee table. Each living room and single bedroom will have individual controls for the buildings' central heating/air conditioning system. Hand-wired telephone service is not available. ELS students will have full access to all of the common area residence hall amenities, which include its fitness centers, computer labs, laundry rooms, study lounges, and gathering spaces.
