Founded in 1947, with classes beginning in 1948, OCC has grown into one of the nation’s largest -- and finest -- community colleges, enrolling more than 25,000 students each semester. Southern California is a beautiful place that includes a variety of different neighborhoods from other cultures. Residents and visitors can truly enjoy some of the amazing
attractions that exist in Southern California. OCC is located 40 miles
(64 kilometers) south of Los Angeles in the City of Costa Mesa in
well-known shopping venues like South Coast Plaza and
Fashion Island; beautiful beaches, such as picturesque Laguna Beach
and Newport Beach; outstanding museums such as the Getty and
the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art.
OCC is also close to exciting theme parks such as Disneyland and
Universal Studios.

on 4-year universities.. Associated Students Contributes to the overall success and
involvement of students by providing
leadership opportunities, supporting
OCC programs, and sponsoring clubs. Computing Center Provides students with computers, printers
and digital resources. Counseling Assists students identify and clarify personal,
career and educational goals. Enrollment Center Teaches students how to be responsible individuals who are capable of meeting
deadlines and managing their own academic records. Health Center Students who are enrolled and attending
classes may seek medical care at the
Student Health Center. Library and Media Services Comprised of over 100,000 titles of

of the educational program. Student Center and Cafeteria Produces a high volume of meals for the

Activity
Memorable college experiences often include more than classroom instruction. To this end student activities and co-curricular programs are an integral part of Orange Coast College.
