Host family students are responsible for their personal transportation. Most students use the bus or train to reach ELS and the campus.
Student Residence (on campus)
Students are placed in triple rooms and will live in a typical suite style dormitory building with shared hallway bathrooms. Rooms include a bed, a dresser, a desk and chair for each resident and a microfridge for each room. Phone, cable and internet connections are available in each room. Students must provide their own computers. Linens are included and self-service machines are available in the same dormitory building for a small fee. Students clean their own rooms during their stay.
Surrounding Area
ELS/Boston is located on the campus of Mount Ida College. Students at this location enjoy studying on a traditional college campus just 13 kilometers from downtown Boston. Boston is a city best known for its prestigious universities including Harvard, Boston University and MIT. It is home to many world-class museums, excellent theaters, trendy shopping spots and restaurants. Cape Cod, the White Mountains, New York City, and Montreal, Canada are just a few hours away.
