- The English Language Institute (ELI) is committed to delivering a quality preparatory intensive English language program that meets or exceeds the realistic expectations of its students.
- ELI provides an academically-based curriculum for international students and members of the local community and university. English Language Institute is an Intensive English Program offering eight levels of English proficiency covering all skills needed for successful communication in academic and non-academic environments. ELI students who complete the Bridge Course (levels 7 and 8) with a "B" average or higher can be admitted to the University of Utah’s undergraduate program without a TOEFL score.

The University of Utah is a public coeducational space-grant research university inSalt Lake City, Utah, United States. As the state's flagship university, the university offers more than 100 undergraduate majors and more than 90 graduate degree programs. Graduate studies include the S.J. Quinney College of Law and the School of Medicine, Utah's only medical school.
