Western English as Second LanguageAbout the
Since its establishment in 1977, Western's English as a Second Language(WESL) has been working with multiple international students and their competent English skills. WESL keeps its class size generally small at around 10 students per classroom in order to create an ideal learning environment for international students. Accredited by CEA, WESL recruits teachers with abundant ESL experience who can fulfill the needs of foreign students. As a private language institute based at a university, WESL promises a stable future for its international students in terms of conditional admissions. WESL's mainstream course, the WESL Program offers equal education at three different levels in order to place students in their most needed environment, according to their English proficiency. Courses of WESL provide students with a profound understanding over America and English as well as build a firm ground base for their future academic endeavors.

Students are given the option of on-campus dormitory and off-campus housings. The first choice will require students to spend a substantial amount of their time with other students, naturally leading them to participate in school events and other social occasions. Students will thus be provided with the ideal opportunities to interact with American culture. On the other hand, students staying at off-campus housings will be given much privacy. Although the school may provide basic information over students' options, students are required to make their own arrangements prior to arrival.
