The Navitas at UMass Dartmouth UPP offers an alternative pathway to the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth for international students who may not qualify for direct entry and who seek a supportive study environment. UPP is equivalent to the first year of a UMass Dartmouth Bachelors degree program, and when you successfully complete this stage, you can move directly into the second year of your undergraduate degree. We also provides Pre-Master Program which prepare you for your master program in Business Administration and Engineering.

The Dartmouth campus of the University of Massachusetts was established in 1895 and is one of four campuses of the Unversity of Massachusetts, or UMass. UMassD is located in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, United States. It became a UMass campus in 1991 when Southeastern Massachusetts University was merged into the University of Massachusetts system. The enrollment of the campus is approximately 9,100, including undergraduate, graduate students, and continuing education students. UMD is renowned for its engineering, business, nursing, marine science, and visual and performing arts programs.

UMass Dartmouth guarantees students on-campus housing as a Navitas at UMass Dartmouth student, once they return the UMass Dartmouth Housing Contract. Please note that Housing Contracts should be returned at least 4 weeks before the start of the semester. As a resident on-campus, students will join the 4,200 other students making the most of their college experience and will have even greater opportunity to take advantage of the campus lifestyle and facilities. The residence halls provide a safe, clean, and well maintained living environment. There are special programs to guide you through the first year, with both professional staff and student resident assistants (RAs) to help with questions and problems.
Surrounding Area
Within a mile of campus, you'll find everything you need from food to electronics at places like Target, Wal-Mart and Stop and Shop. The Dartmouth Mall has 75 stores, including Macy's and Old Navy, as well as a 12-Screen movie theatre. Dartmouth also offers many of the famous USA chain-restaurants like TGIF, Applebees and as well as plenty of restaurants serving food from all over the world. In addition, Dartmouth is located near some of the best beaches on the east coast, with the nearest beach only a 15 minute drive away. In addition to the UMass Dartmouth shuttle that is available to transport you around campus, the local Dartmouth provides public bus service provides transport to nearby cities from campus. From New Bedford students can catch the commuter train or other bus services to Boston, Providence and New York City, the bus from campus to New Bedford takes about 10 minutes.
Facilities
Students living on campus have the opportunity to spend more time in the academic resource rooms, computer labs, libraries and the Student Center and also to take advantage of the athletic facilities and fields at the Tripp Athletic Center.
Activity
Campus life at UMass Dartmouth offers many
choices to students. Opportunities to attend concerts, socials, and educational
lectures are constantly available to Navitas students on the UMass Dartmouth
campus. There are over 90 student clubs and organizations at UMass
Dartmouth. Groups such as the Film Club, Gaming Society, Humans vs Zombies, as
well as individual country Associations like the Indian Student Association.
Starting an undergraduate or graduate Club is an easy process. If there is
currently no club or organization that matches your interest, you may consider
organizing a new one. UMass Dartmouth offers a gym and swimming pools for
student use to keep in peak fitness. Students can also use the outdoor fields
and facilties around campus to play outdoor sports like soccer, tennis, field
hockey and others. Also during winter there is an ice rink located on campus
for ice skating. Interested in outdoor adventure? Students can join the Outdoor
Club, a student organization, which organizes outdoor activities and events.
