I finished the first semester of my senior
year in the university, and I wanted to apply for an internship in Australia,
so I wanted to study English before doing so. Thus, I took 6 months course in
International House Sydney. EAP is the course I took, it is an academic English
program. It is suitable for those who want to study academic or business English.
EAP has listening, speaking, reading and writing. Each section has level up to
3, and a level course lasts for 3 months. I took 1 level, 2 level; so total 6
months. My English improved very much. The course has writing essays,
discussions, presentations and translations. It was similar to a university
study, but more dynamic. Consequently, through these varieties of projects, my English
improved naturally. The best part about the institution is that there are so
many international students. I never had much chance to contact with
foreigners, but when I was there, I made so many friends from different parts
of the world. It was awesome. I think having a chance to meet so many people
with different nationalities is such a great experience. I did not home-stay, I
stayed in the residence with a Japanese and a Spanish. Living with new people
is also a great experience too. I really loved International House, and I still
remember all those moments I had there.
