Curriculum : A GEOS English class is known for its challenging curriculum that highlights oral communication - speaking and listening. Extensively trained instructors incorporate varieyt of lessons to help students gain conversational skills as much as possible. At the beginning of each course, students will be given a placement test that closely examines their English proficiency and thus places them in the appropriate level of class ranging from beginner to advanced, in six different difficulties. Our Homestay program is the best way to truly discover
everything about Canadian culture. Our devoted Homestay coordinator works with
every student individually to find the right fit so he/she feels comfortable and
safe at all times.
All of the families we work with are carefully selected to
meet the demanding standard we hold for our students and their continual safety
and comfort. All within a close distance of the school, our families all live in
safe, clean and easily accessible neighbourhoods.
Students generally stay in single rooms, although double
rooms may be available upon request. Students have the option of selecting
full-board (3 meals provided per day) or half-board (2 meals provided per
day).
Private Residence
GEOS Vancouver proudly works with local student residences and
hostels to provide private rooms for students looking for a more independent
accommodation option. This type of accommodation is ideal for students over the
age of 18 who are comfortable living on their own.
Surrounding Area
The best way to get around Vancouver city is by foot, bicycle or even by boat. The school is located at the corner of West Pender and Bute, which is surrounded by restaurants, great cafés, pubs, bars, banks and shopping malls, assuring the necessary services to meet every student’s needs. You can walk or cycle from the school to Stanley Park to escape into the nature and admire some of the first nation’s art or walk along the seawall while enjoying great views of the city. The school is just 5 minutes from Burrad Station and located in the middle of downtown, close to shopping malls, and beautiful Stanley Park.

Activity
GEOS Vancouver organizes after-school activities everyday (and occasionally organizes weekend activities) for our international students in Vancouver. These activities vary by season. Some examples of these activities include trips to the Stanley Park and Gastown, movies, sports games, parties, and more!
