I was going
to visit my friend in Canada, and I thought it would be a good chance to study English
too. So, I searched for a suitable program for me, and York University had a
summer English program. For a month, from Monday to Friday, the course starts
at 9 am and finishes at 1 pm. Thus, it is good for those who wants to have a
free time after 1. Additionally, it isn’t just a language institution, it is a
program in an university, so it is more trustable. The course has clear outline
too. I thought 4 hours of class each day would not make so much difference, but
regular daily practices helped me to improve so much. I used to be not
confident with my English level, but now I can understand and communicate in
English. The course gave out much homework. Also the school holds many socials,
so it is a good chance to make international friends! My aim of visiting Canada
was to travel around, but since I took a short term course, I learned English
and had fun at the same time. It was a good experience for me!
