Take English Courses in Victoria, one of Canada’s most beautiful mid-sized cities, located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, on the west coast of Canada. Victoria is the capital city of the province of British Columbia, and is conveniently located a quick 15-minute flight from Vancouver International Airport or an equally convenient 40-minute flight from Seattle, Washington. Vancouver Island can also be reached by an incredibly scenic ferry ride from the mainland, where students of the English Courses in Victoria may even get the chance to see a killer whale or two along the way. Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, Victoria enjoys very mild weather all year-round. The gorgeous flowers of the Butchart Gardens are Victoria’s crowning glory. In fact, Victoria even derives a nickname, 'The City of Gardens', from them. Students of the English Courses in Victoria will be equally impressed by the majesty of the Fairmont Empress Hotel and the Inner Harbour. The lively Inner Harbour, in particular, features music performances from aspiring artists and is a favourite of residents and students alike. The local residents of Victoria are very friendly – often going out of their way to help international students. The warm and welcoming atmosphere of the city will melt away stress and make anyone instantly feel at home.
