Tours Langues is a small
and friendly French school located in Tours (one hour from Paris by train), a
very pleasant historical city. Our groups are limited to 8 students which
enables the school to offer an individual monitoring; the teachers are native
speakers, fully qualified, experienced and trained. The school offers their students
a free access to the Internet and free transportation to the excursions the
school organizes every Friday afternoon. It’s the best way to learn French as
well as French culture. The school also gives one to one lessons.Tours Langues,
created in 1994, is located place Plumereau, in the city centre, close to the
shops, railway and coach stations. It is in the historical and tourist district
of the city. Place Plumereau is the favourite meeting place for students and
Tourangeaux - the city inhabitants. Students will find there many restaurants
and outdoor cafés to have a little rest and to speak French. Tours Langues
pays particular attention to students. To enhance the chance of success and
progress, the classes consist of a maximum of 8 people (10 people from June to
September). The teachers are specialised in teaching French as a foreign
language. Whatever the age, students’ level of French or their aims, the school
provides a wide range and variety of lessons. The school offers a balance between
grammar, writing and oral expression, with the assistance of various
technological aids (video- computers- television). These can be adapted to the
specific needs of each individual.

In a family :
If you choose to stay in a family, you will be able to progress quickly in a cordial context and to put into practice what you learned during your courses. In addition you’ll share the everyday life of French people and you will to discover the French way of life as well as the French gastronomy. You can choose between the complete pension or half-board. Half-board (breakfast and dinner) : 180 euros per week ( 27 euros for each additional day)
N.B: The accommodation expenses are to be paid directly to the host family.
In a flat :
If you wish more independence, you can live in a small apartment well equipped, where you will be perfectly autonomous. Flat or studio: from 450 to 700 euros a month.
In a hotel :
We propose a broad range of hotels from 1 to 4 stars, located near our school. For a lodging in a hotel, do not hesitate to ask us booklets.
Surrounding Area
Tours is a city with an impressive historical and cultural inheritance. Located at the junction of the Loire and the Cher, the city is ideally situated. Tours is today the most significant city of the Centre area. The city is 55 minutes away from Paris by train.Tours Langues is located place Plumereau, in the city centre, close to the shops, railway and coach stations. It is in the historical and tourist district of the city.
Facilities
The school offers a video room, a library, a language lab and a computer room, with free access to the Internet. The library, the video room and the computer room are in free access.
Activity
According to the time and to the season, Tours Langues suggests cultural activities, such as visits of castles, museums or villages, cinema, meetings with French people…etc. The cultural, intellectual and sporting activities are numerous, thanks to the dynamism of the 28 000 students living in the city. Sporting equipment, but also several libraries, cinemas, museums, gardens, and markets can be found there. From an economic point of view, Tours is also active; there are many shops, service firms and craft factories.
