Nordsee Internat is located near the Nordsee. They offer 3 type of high school degree program. Students can apply for Haupt-,Real or Gymnasium. After class 10 there is a possibility to take part in New Zealand study abroad program. The students are also able to choose between Fachabitur after class 12 and Abitur after 13 at Gymnasium. All the students will get 24 hour care, from there supervisor.Currently 120 students live int he boarding house.
The high school part of the North Sea School has both the status of a future school and that of a European school. As a result, the lessons are based, among other things, on a European core curriculum. In addition, the bilingual geography branch optionally teaches in English. In the upper secondary level, i.e. at the beginning of the 11th year, the students specialize in a linguistic, scientific or social science focus in the upper profile level.
With English, French, Latin and Spanish, the North Sea School also offers a wide range of foreign languages. English is taught from grade 5. From year 7 onwards, either Latin or French is added as a second foreign language. And as an optional third foreign language, Latin, French or Spanish can be learned from the ninth grade, depending on the previous choice. For all language enthusiasts, the North Sea High School also offers Spanish from the eleventh grade. Particularly practical: For schoolchildren who want to switch to the upper level with a Realschule certificate (MSA) and have not yet learned a second foreign language, the grammar school offers its own entry option with Spanish as a new second foreign language. We are a learning home and with us school and life are consciously independent. That is why we are different from many other boarding schools in Germany. Because only through this independence can we achieve a particularly trusting and at the same time independent relationship between students and educators in boarding school life.
At the nsi we promote personal freedom and independence, but also a sense of responsibility and respectful interaction with one another. Because mutual respect and a strong sense of community are very important in our boarding school. And should there ever be a difference of opinion, someone is always there. Around 120 students live in the boarding house. In which they have a own space to rest. They also have a study group which consist of 10-12 students. They also organize different activities. The highlight is water sports and cooking event
