Located on a hill overlooking the village of Bad Laasphe, Wittgenstein Castle offers a wonderful view of the scenic landscape of the Rothaargebirge nature preserve with its countless hiking trails that beckon visitors to discover this magnificent area. Cologne is only 12km away for a Satuyrday excursion with a cosmopolitan flair. The boarding school at Wittgenstein Castle gas over 1,400square meters of gymnasium space. For a fee, students can also ride the school's own horses in either the indoor riding arena or two outdoor riding pastures.

You need to have B2 Level to apply for this school and pass the german interview, English and mathematics test. The interview and test takes place between february and April. And you Need to have a average grade of C.

Accommodation
The rooms are 25m2 to 45m2 big and are equipped with cupboard, shelves, table, chair and a bed. Some of the Rooms have a Sofa. Every room has WIFI.
Onlz the Senior students can have their own TV in their rooms, the others can watch TV in the common room. The students mostly live in double rooms, but some single rooms are available,
Every room is has a own shower and toilet.
Surrounding Area
The town of Bad Laasphe lies in the upper Lahn Valley, near the stately home of Wittgenstein Castle (is nowadays a boarding school) in the former Wittgenstein district. The municipal area is located south of the main crest of the Rothaargebirge, and borders in the north on the towns of Bad Berleburg and Erndtebrück, in the east on the town of Biedenkopf in Hessen, in the southeast on Breidenbach, in the south on Dietzhölztal and in the west on the town of Netphen. Bad Laasphe lies about 30 km east of Siegen and 25 km northwest of Marburg.

The boarding house has common rooms, school cafeteria, sports hall and sports field on the campus. There is also a own horse riding school on the campus.
