The focus of our work is the child with their strengths and talents, skills and interests.
The boarding school pedagogues and teachers of the CJD Christophorusschule Elze build on the strengths of each individual in order to educate the students entrusted to them to become self-confident young people.
Our pedagogy is based on the principle "It is not the best that counts, but your best."
However, imparting knowledge alone is not enough for young people to develop into self-confident, stable personalities who can take responsibility and withstand social pressures.
In our everyday life, beliefs and beliefs develop. For us, this includes a Christian lifestyle, which is reflected in considerate cooperation.
Our boarding school is very scenic on a 12 hectare site and is embedded in the beautiful Leinebergland on the edge of the small town of Elze.
The spacious campus consists of the school buildings of the grammar school, the cafeteria, the sports center, the riding hall and the music school as well
as several boarding houses in which the students learn and live.
For this school B2 level is must for admission. Between February and April there will be a German interview,English and Mathematics Exam. If the students pass the test and have korean average transcript score of C , then the students are able to apply.

*The entrance in German Gymnasium is only possible once a year in September. Students who coundn't make the B2 test can also enter during second semester after passing the B2 level. For admission B2 level is a must. For getting the B2 Certificate, students need to take a 30 weeks German class. That means for admission in September, they need to start their course in September-Oktober a year before the admission.

Accommodation
The students need to stay at the boarding house. Students will live in double rooms. The kitchen and bathroomare shared and the internet is free. The students wil take German as foreign lanuage course 5 times a week. The students can stay at the boarding house all 7 days and there are make up classes 2 times per week. To use the free time well, variety of programs are offered. If the students need to stay at the boarding house during the holidays, they need to pay EUR200 extra.
Surrounding Area
Elze is a town in the district of Hildesheim, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated on the river Leine, approximately 15 km (9.3 mi) west of Hildesheim. The municipality of Elze also comprises the villages of Esbeck, Mehle, Sehlde, Sorsum, Wittenburg and Wülfingen.
Facilities
Evey boarding house has a tutor in the house, who organizes tutor classes regulary. So the students can get help with their homework in the boarding house too.
Activity
Cooking together, variety of sport activities like soccer (cooperation with soccer school Hannover 96), two times per week free sport offer, swimming, basketball, handball, archery, judo, handcraft workshops, cinema evening, table tennis, class trips on weekends, possibility to get the drivers lisence at ELZE, horse riding and music classes.

Getting to the school from the airport
From Frankfurt Airport take the ICE towards Muenchen Hbf and get of at Frankfurt Main Hauptbahnhof and from there take the ICE towards Hamburg-Altona. Get off at Hannover Central station and transfer to the train towards Goettingen and get off at Elze(Han). From there take the bus 501 towards Wuelfingen Ort and get off at ELZE(Leine) Ferdinand-Wallbrecht-Strasse from there it's a 15 minutes work to the school.
CJD ELZE는 독일북부지방 하노버 근교에 위치한 작은 마을입니다. 다양한 학생들과 함께 거주하며 방과후 피아노, 바이올린, 플룻 등 클래식수업 및 핸드볼, 농구, 배드민턴 등의 여러 취미활동을 할 수 있습니다. 한국의 주입식교육과는 달리 해답보다 과정을 중시하는 경향으로 학생들의 자발적인 사상과 가치관을 확립합니다. 일반적으로 20명 정도의 클래스를 운영하며 기숙학교의 거주하는 학생의 경우 사감을 통해 언어적 학술적인 도움을 받을 수 있습니다. 또한 독일아이들 및 다양한 외국학생들과 교류하며 서로 다른 문화를 배울 수 있습니다.
학업의 경우 처음 접한 독일어, 철학 등은 어려움이 있었지만 학교 및 친구들의 도움으로 인해 긴 시간이 지나지 않아 적응할 수 있었습니다. 독일어를 자유롭게 활용하다 보니 영어에 자신감도 붙고 나아가 제2외국어인 스페인어 기본까지 배울 수 있습니다. 저는 이과계열에 흥미가 없던 학생이었지만 CJD의 실습위주의 물리수업은 매우 흥미로웠고 공학계산기를 활용하는 수학 또한 방법이 낯설었지만 한국에서 보다 훨씬 재미있게 배울 수 있었습니다. 그러나 독일어 수업과 역사 그리고 철학의 경우는 공부한 것에 대비하여 좋은 성과를 거두지 못하였습니다. 아무래도 10여 년간 기본지식을 갖추어놓은 친구들에 비해 뒤쳐질 수 밖에 없었지만 기숙사 사감선생님의 도움과 학과 선생님의 지원을 통해 따라갈 수 있게 되었습니다.
