Since its establishment in 1922 as a summer school, it's now become an integral part of German education system, instilling its students the ability to make their learning process fun and something customized for each and every individual within its capabilities. This school stresses the importance of supporting/challenging students not only intellectually but also holistically, meaning that students are encouraged to learn to accept responsibility for their action and for others and to further their skills to discover and develop. The island where the school is located is itself, a good learning environment in all science, sports,and artistic areas. Out of the total enrollment, about 70 enrolls in the boarding school. its faculty body is approximately made up of 45 teachers and 12 educators that can help students from abroad adjust to their new school life.
The core subjects are mathematics, English, German and French but natural science(biology, chemistry, physics) and social science(geography, history, ethics, and social studies) subjects are also deemed as an important part of the education.
The elective courses are offered in two periods per week.(Spanish from grade 9, computer science and Darstellendes game from grade 10)
contrary to the common academic year system in Germany, their yearly class schedule is divided into 3 semesters, 12 teaching weeks in each.

School usually starts at 8:10 am and ends at 15:50 pm. For 7-10 grade, students are encouraged to perform their tasks autonomously under supervision. if not completed during study hours, students need to finish their homework at home.

Accommodation
The boarding house has double and 4 bedrooms. Around 90 students can be accepted in the boarding house. Every house has a supervisor.
Surrounding Area
Since 2012, the boarding school strongly supports the all-day operation of the school farm and students who are willing to participate are welcome to do so at any time of the day. but any work related to the school farm should be accompanied by an educator(or a social worker) to give them assistance.
Facilities
in the school's proximity, There's a farm area with livestock and fitness facilities and the lake where students can enjoy water activities in their free time, not to mention many classrooms, a newly renovated computer lab with recent technologies, working spaces for physics and chemistry, and the cafeteria overlooking a beautiful lake. And in 2014, another school facility renovation successfully completed, so the school also offers soundproofed choir/practice rooms for Modern Art and school dance club. The school library with computer stations is another thing that's been added after the renovation work.
Activity
Students in 7th/8th grade are given more time to be outside and do more of the outdoor activities than the others. The educators/counselors are always on standby and their service are reflected and evaluated regularly by students. The comments given as a feedback will be reviewed and discussed in the school board meetings for how it can be improved and offer better service to students.
