GERMAN STANDARD COURSE: The standard course is aimed at learners at all levels who wish to learn or deepen their knowledge of the German language for their studies in Germany, for their jobs or everyday life.
In your German Standard Course you will train all important language skills - reading and writing, comprehension and speaking. You will also expand your grammar and vocabulary.
Before you start your German course, we help you to define a realistic learning goal by taking into account your previous knowledge and the planned duration of the course.
Participants with previous knowledge (language levels A1-C2) can join a course every Monday after our placement test. Participants without previous knowledge can begin their German Standard Course only on specified dates.
The free German placement test, with placement according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), can be taken Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Alternatively, you can use our online placement test at any time free of charge and without obligation.
We support you in the following steps to your learning success:
A placement test will be taken to find out if the level you have booked corresponds to your actual level. Changing the level afterwards is no problem.
Before the course starts, we help you to define a realistic learning goal.
The course then starts at the desired level. The course will automatically advance to a higher level as soon as all participants of the group course have mastered the level.
This is typically how long it takes to learn a level in one of our courses:
A1 - 8 weeks
A2 - 8 weeks
B1 - 8 weeks
B2 - 8 -10 weeks
C1 - 10-12 weeks
A course day normally looks like this:
· You greet each other in the language you're learning, tell them how you feel and what's new.
· Afterwards, lessons (45 minutes each) are given in grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary.
· In order to apply what you have learned directly, role plays are done or essays are written.
· Oral speech is very important to us, so that you get the courage to apply what you have learned.
· Many clients book an extension after the course. You can simply book weeks and learn as many additional levels as you wish.
· Usually you stay in the same group for the whole period, even if the level then advances.
