is a scientific and technological (NTG) and language (SG) high school with a bilingual train.
In the 2020/21 school year, 642 students (including guest students from the Humboldt Institute) will be taught in 27 classes by 61 teachers at our high school. The average class size is around 24. With 71 new registrations for the 5th grade, we were able to keep our number of students from the previous year.
The foreign language lessons for our youngest start in the 5th grade with English.
For the second foreign language, which is taught from the 6th grade, our students can choose between French and Latin. Since this decision is not easy for some fifth graders, we have compared key arguments for each of the two subjects here.
From the 8th grade, the young people can choose between Spanish and French (if this has not already been chosen) as a third foreign language and thus automatically choose the language training direction. This results in possible language sequences at our school:
English - French - Spanish
English - Latin - Spanish
English - Latin - French
Instead of the 3rd foreign language, the pupils can also choose from the 8th grade intensified lessons in the subjects chemistry and physics as well as additional lessons in computer science from the 9th grade, with which they enter the natural sciences and technology branch:
Notice of termination of the boarding contract must be given in writing by the legal representative, no later than December 31 for an effective date of February 28, and no later than June 15 for an effective date of August 31. The fees are to be paid until the termination of the contract.

Accommodation
All the students in Gymnasium Lindenberg pay for the dormitory in Humboldt Lindenberg. Students usually ride their bikes or walk to school. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to school. In winter, you have to prepare for gloves and mufflers.
Students who attend Gymnasium Lindenberg use Wifi that is slow but available 24 hours a day. The room is fully furnished, but it is still a good idea to bring heating supplies. The quality of food is relatively good at Humboldt Lindenberg restaurant.

Getting to the school from the airport
It is located about two hours away from the Munich Airport and you can apply for a pickup service. It is okay to use Zurich Airport in Switzerland. For older students, the pick-up fee is free if you go to the connected train station from the airport.
