Conditional Admission
Admission conditions at the high school can be summed up as follows:
- students of the primary school after year 4
- students of the secondary high school after class 5 or 6
- students of all other high schools in all classes
Students with the following conditions can be admitted to the “Aufbaugymnasium”:
- students of the secondary modern school after class 6 or 7
- students of other high schools in all classes
- under certain conditions if they had Latin or French as their first foreign language
- in special cases students from secondary high school
- In the Sixth Form all students of all other high schools can be admitted
- Students from secondary modern and secondary high school with the required qualification for the Sixth Form

We have set up two priorities as a basic of success for our students: education (at school) and the development of the individual personality. Pedagogical Method
For more than 50 years, we offer an extremely wide range of courses and course combinations in school, so that students can choose their favorite and best classes. To enhance their motivation, each student's individual progress is discussed regularly.
Due to small classes and individual support in the school and in the boarding school, the learning process is less stressful.
The varied activities outside school help students to improve their social competence and try out different sports and activities to find their own individual way.

Education
We support your child on her/his way to successful final exams. The key to successful results is intense and individual care. Small tutor groups, free choice of subjects as well as highly motivated and qualified teachers make possible an optimal education for your child.
Subjects
- Small tutor groups /courses, usually 7-12 students, allow a good support and intense teaching - The best free choice of subjects at the advanced level , so your child can choose the subjects he/she is interested in
Teachers
- Qualified and motivated teachers. We can dispose of a lot more teachers than state schools. As the tutor groups and courses are much smaller, teachers can directly judge the students` success. In case of problems teachers can react immediately and they can take their time to repeat subject matters the students have problems with. In addition we offer private lessons for each subject and kids with deficits in reading and spelling can take part in special courses.
Advanced level courses comprise 3 years, consisting of EF-groups as well as 2 years of qualification (Q1 and Q2) and ending with matriculation standards. You can be moved from EF to Q1. Students coming from year 9 of a high school to EF get the GCSE. At the end of Q1 they can get college standards on certain conditions.
Advanced Level:
Since the G8-system was introduced the students have been able to pass their A-level exam only 8 years. English is the first foreign language in year 5, in year 6 students have to decide whether to take Latin or French as their second foreign language.

In contrast to other boarding schools our school ISB offers the students to go home every weekend. The wild horses are Dülmen's attraction
The forest, heath and meadow areas and the wild horse enclosure with more than 300 free-roaming horsesin the Merfelder Bruch make a trip into the countryside a unique experience. Of course, you can also take your bike to the wild horses - after all, Dülmen is on the Münsterland cycle path network and offers many possibilities as a starting point, from a one-day tour to a cycle tour lasting several days.
The grave of Anna Katharina Emmerick
In Dülmen itself, thousands are drawn every year to the memorial and grave of the beatified Anna Katharina Emmerick. The nun had mystical visions in which she lived through the Passion of Christ every Friday.

Unforgettable experiences and relaxation are offered by the leisure centre "Joy'n Us", the leisure pool "düb" and the vitality centre "Die Sauna Insel". So in the end there is hardly any time left for a stroll through the lively centre of Dülmen.
Activity
Internat Schloss Buldern offers all students an extensive organisation of their leisure time which serves as a balance during the week. All these offers help the students to get to know the other students and make friends. Moreover, they support their social competences and the development of their personality. Our free-time activities range from A (Angel - fishing) to Y (yoga).

From the Duesseldorf Flughafen take the RE2towards Osnabrueck and transfer at the Essen Hauptbahnhof to the RE42 towards Muenster Hauptbahnhof and get of at Buldern station. From there, its only a 7 minutes walk to the school.
EF를 시작으로 불던 김나지움에 입학하여 3년간 불던에서 학교들 다니고 아비투어를 끝냈습니다. 처음에 기숙사에 들어갔을땐 아는 사람이 없었기에 힘들었지만 점차 친구들을 사겨가며 적응해갔습니다. 적응 하는데에 있어선 입학 전에 어학원에서 독일어를 배우고 갔기에 힘든점은 없었습니다. 첫날이 되어선 오리엔테이션을 가지며 과목울 정합니다. EF때는 Q1 Q2를 하기위한 준비반으로 할수있어서 Ef땐 여러가지 과목들을 골라가며 해본후 고를수있습니다. 미리 여러가지 과목을 해본 후 Q1나 Q2가 되면 나한테 필요한 과목들을 더욱 쉽게 정할 수 있습니다. 학교에선 여러가지 과목들을 배우지만 제2의 언어를 의무적으로 하기 때문에 새로운 언어를 조금씩 배워갈수있습니다. 학교 수업은 독일어로 이루어지며 매일 7시45분에 시작해서 6시에 끝나지만
저같이 Ef Q1 Q2학생들은 대학처럼 수업을 골라들을수있습니다.(어느정도 학교에서 정해주지만). 아비투어를 볼대 쯤이면 어느정도 아비투어를 칠수 있는 능력이 되는거 같습니다. 기숙사 같은경우에는 남자 여자 따로 있으며 건물이 4개정도 있고 학교 근처 2개 식당 쪽에 2개있습니다. 식당에서 학교의 거리는 도보 5분정도 되며 등하교하는데 큰 어려움은 없었습니다. 각 기숙사엔 담당 사감선생님들이 계시며 주말에 기숙사에 남아있는 학생들과 여러가지 액티비티를 합니다. 기숙사를 정하라 하면 학교 쪽을 추천드리지만 별 차이는 없습니다.
저는 2020년도에 무사히 아비투어를 합격했으며 저와 같이 외국인 학생 전부 포함 전학생들이 합격하였습니다.
아비투어를 마치고 저는 뮌헨 대학과 아헨 공학대학에 전기공학으로 지원했으며 두곳 모두 지원 합격되었습니다. 대학 지원에는 Nc라고 하는것에 사용해 합격여부를 밝히는데 nc는 아비투어점수와 관련되어있기 때문에 자신이 가고싶은 대학과 과를 알아보고 그점수에 맞춰 아비를 준비하는것을 추천합니다.
