Padagogium Baden BadenAbout the
Thr Paedagogium Baden Baden Gymnasium educates class 5 to 12. They have two types of Gymnasium program. The modern foreign language and the sciencne oriented Gymnasium program. The students live in the schools boarding house.Its one of the most traditional boarding school in Germany. It was established in 1887 from the Buechler Familiy. The school currently has around 500 day students and 100 boarding students.
Focus of Study : The Gymnasium takes from class 5 to 12 to the Abitur diploma.
Benefit, Goal of this course : Their goal is to help the students to reach the grade 12 and take the Abitur exam
Curriculum : 1)foreign language oriented: The foreign languages are as follows: class 5: Englisch,class 6: French.class 8: Spanish (if foreign language program) and Latin as late foreign language. They offer Discussiom courses in evert school year, where speaking ability is in th main focus. A class trip takes place in class.
2.Science oriented: The students learn the basics of science. Starting class 8, the students will take the scienence and technology course, where the students learn more in depth and take part in variety of projects and internships in Eco and Technology sectors.
3.geograpy-economy-social study oriented In focus are the world as a living space,basic economy,political and social actions. The students start with the Geographyproject already in class 5.

Accommodation
The students live separated according to age and gender in 7 boarding houses on campus. The younger once live in 2 or 3 bedrooms the older students in double or single rooms. The teachers live in the boarding house with the kids and teenagers. They offer them safety and help them with problems. A lot events take place at the boarding house, such as theate,concert,barbecue and game evening,night walking and weekend trips. Beside students from Germany, students from various nations also live in our boarding house
Surrounding Area
Baden-Baden is a spa town in the state of Baden-Württemberg, south-western Germany, at the north-western border of the Black Forest mountain range on the small river Oos, ten kilometres (six miles) east of the Rhine, the border with France, and forty kilometres (twenty-five miles) north-east of Strasbourg, France. The city offers many options for sports enthusiasts, golf and tennis are both popular in the area. Horse races take place each May, August and October at nearby Iffezheim. The countryside is ideal for hiking and mountain climbing. In the winter Baden-Baden is a skiing destination. There is an 18-hole golf course in Fremersberg.
Facilities
The school has a new big school cafeteria, which makes 400 meals a day. The students must order the meal through the online booking system. All 3 meals are offerd for the boarding students.
Activity
On 5 to 6 weekend a year, big trips are planned for the students. We go camping,visit musicals or amusement parks,mountain bike tour and so on.
Sport activities: basketball, soccer, volleyball, table tennis, dance,yoga,swimming,breakdance, golf,tennis,fitness training and so on.
Music and Art activities: choir,band,instrument class,drawing,theater and so on.
crafy activity:pottery,felting,wood and nature workshop and so on.
Extra activities: language club,computer course,chess, cooking and baking classes and so on.
Location
Getting to the school from the airport
Take the ICE to Basel from Frankfuert airport station and get off at Mannheim Hbf. From there transfer to the EC going to Milano Centrale and get off at Baden-Baden Station. After that take the Bus 243 to BAD Leopoldsplatz(Luisenstrasse) and get off at Bad Hindenburgplatz(Kaiserallee). From there is only a 300 meterwork to the school. The total travel time is 1 hour and 57 minutes.
