Sprachschule zum Ehrstein is centrally located next to Freiburg’s famous and beautiful city centre and just a stone’s throw away from the Albert-Ludwig-University. The school overlooks an attractive square, alive with outdoor cafés and restaurants graced by splendid horse chestnuts. Center boasts skilled and friendly tutors, as well as friendly and personal service from the staff. Sprachschule zum Ehrstein's specialty is to meet students' individual needs. To do this the school offers stimulating lessons in which fun is conducive to learning. Lessons are held in small groups of max 12. This allows the tutors to adjust to students' pace of learning.

Course extensions must be promptly reported to the school secretary. All changes in the original booking must be made in writing. Rebookings or changes in the bookings can be made without charge up to 2 weeks prior to the course start. Whether changes can be made after the stated deadline of 2 weeks will be decided by the school management on a case-to-case basis. For all rebookings after the deadline a fee is payable. Early departure or late arrival provide no grounds for a refund. Accommodation
Many of Sprachschule zum Ehrstein students stay with host families located in the city. Students can expect to commute by bicycle, bus or train to the city centre. All of the host families have been inspected by a member of staff.Host families provide nice accommodation as part of the family with single or room-sharing options available. Host families also provide half board. This consists of a simple breakfast and an evening meal. On the weekends it includes a small lunch.
If students want more independence but want to share accommodation with their peers then this is for you. Each room is a fully furnished bed-sit with own bathroom. Towels and bedding are provided. 14 students share a storey with telephone, cable TV connection and W-Land (fee payable for internet access). Two common rooms offer snooker and a TV. Each storey has a common kitchen with utensils. The hall of residence has four laundry rooms with washing machines and tumble dryers.
Surrounding Area
Freiburg im Breisgau is a city in Baden-Württemberg, Germany with a population of about 230,000 people. In the south-west of the country, it straddles the Dreisam river, at the foot of the Schlossberg. Historically, the city has acted as the hub of the Breisgau region on the western edge of the Black Forest in the Upper Rhine Plain. One of the famous old German university towns, and archiepiscopalseat, Freiburg was incorporated in the early twelfth century and developed into a major commercial, intellectual, and ecclesiastical center of the upper Rhine region. The city is known for its medieval university and minster, as well as for its high standard of living and advanced environmental practices. The city is situated in the heart of a major wine-growing region.

Activity
To learn a language abroad also means to learn about another culture and to experience a different everyday lifestyle. The school offers historical guide tours of Freiburg’s picturesque city centre and its medieval minster, visits to theatre, canoe trips, climbing and football, and excursions to beautiful Black Forest and Kaiserstuhl.

아무리 혼자 다 할 수 있다 하더라도 분명 놓치는 것들이 있거든요... 그러다가 시간이 지체되고.. 외국에 나가도 누군가의 도움없이 혼자 준비 하는 것이 중요하다 생각했고 셀프어플라이라고 해서 일단 지르고 봤는데, 학원 원서만 넣어지는 것이 아니라 중간에 비행기나 비자, 이메일이 오고가는 것들 모두 안내원처럼 잘 알려주셔서 참 좋았어요. 셀프어플라이는 모든 것을 스스로 결정 할 수 있고 누구도 어떤 인생의 루틴을 강요하지 않지만, 꼭 필요하거나 놓치는 부분에대한 조언을 필요할 때 제때 들을 수 있어서 부담스럽지 않고 만족스러웠습니다.
우선 프라이부르크에 있는 슈프락슐레 쭘 에어슈타인 어학원은 모든 면에서 만족스럽습니다. 독일어라고는 아무것도 모르는 초보자가 가서 수업을 듣기에 진도도 적당하고 천천히 질문하면 모든 답변을 친절히 해줘서 좋고, 한국인을 한번도 못봤어요. 그래서 언어실력을 쌓기에 좋을 듯 싶어요. 아주 건조한 분위기도 아니면서 다들 열심히 하는 분위기고 서로 자신의 일에 집중하는 모습이 좋습니다.
