Our General English courses are available all year round and are multinational. Students can enroll for any number of weeks with a minimum stay of 1 week. 24 hour courses are designed for students who wish to follow a more intensive English course.
On their first day of tuition students do a short 3-part Placement Test (Speaking, Listening and Writing) in order to assess their level of English and are then assigned to the appropriate class. Courses are held at all levels from Elementary to Advanced. The Academic Manager closely monitors the progress of the students by communicating with the tutors on a daily basis. Students can do an Exit Test to see their own improvement at the end of their stay.

Host Family
The Host Families at CEW are situated all over Cork City, and can cater for the many and varied requests, from smoking to special dietary needs. Please note that host families are not available in the city centre, mainly due to the fact that Irish families tend to live outside the heart of the city in the suburbs. This means that some local transport will probably be involved in coming to school each day. The families have been specially selected and are only deemed suitable following a thorough inspection.
Apartment Accommodation
Apartment accommodation is available throughout the summer in various complexes centrally located, and can be arranged for you. Apartment accommodation usually involves sharing an apartment with, at least, three other students, where there is a communal living/ dining area and shared bathroom. In apartment accommodation you provide your own food. Bed Linen and towels are sometimes provided (please check when you book).

Cork is a small town full of charm. Located near the sea, landscape of mountains and nature spreads out and step the city is Cork. In addition, the level of living environment is enhanced. Even while protecting important to the rich Irish culture, this city lives on As we look to the future. Cork economy has grown by expansion of high-tech enterprises, urban development also went. Student population for many there is a famous university, Cork does not look inferior in any way, even in comparison with other European cities. Cork day and night is a lively atmosphere. Features No. 1 of this city is a hospitable people and rich culture. Comfort is good too, you could get a never want to leave by the time the study period ends.
