Accomodation
Homestay The family home may be different from students' own but it will be safe and clean. Towels and bed linen will be provided. The room will be cleaned and towels and bed linen will be changed once a week. The host will clean students' room but they should keep it tidy and make their own bed. The host will do one load of laundry for students each week but it is not required of the host to iron their clothes. It is a good idea to have their clothes properly labelled with their name to avoid any confusion. Please be careful with ink, nail polish, etc. left inside your clothes’ pockets. If students damage something, tell your host family immediately and offer to pay for the damage. Never dye hair without checking first, if the host has any objections. Please do not keep food in the room. This is unhygienic. Please ask host family if can use their fridge, or their cupboards in the kitchen.Bathrooms can be busy in the morning, so please be considerate about the amount of time to occupy the bathroom for, and check when other people will be using the bathroom. Students should provide their own toothpaste and toothbrush, shampoo, soap etc.

I attended
Chamber College Language School in Malta for a year for an English course.
Malta sounded strange to me at first, and now I want to live there forever. I
was expecting Ireland or England but since my parents recommended Malta after
their visit there, I decided to change the location to Malta. At first, my English
wasn’t really good, but after a year of studying, I can communicate in English pretty
well. Because Malta is an island, the school is near the beach and so many
international students visit Malta. Their English level varies, so it is easier
for me to adapt and understand each culture better. The course mainly focuses
on communication and speaking. It consists of discussion, skits and some basic
grammar and writing. The best part of the school was that learning English
naturally, without painful efforts. In Korea, I struggled so much with English,
and had to deal with the stress. However, this school was different; the class
was fun and enjoyable. I also recommend home-stay. The family I stayed with was
extra nice. I hope this helps those who are considering Malta for language
study.
