The language school Clubclass Residential Language School was founded in St. Julians, Malta in 1999. The residential language school set-up provides a totally immersing teaching environment. One Bedroomed Apartments These apartments are situated within the same building as the school and are ideal for individuals who would not like to share their apartment with more than two other students. One bedroomed apartments can be booked as either single, twin or shared bedroom (maximum 3).
Two Bedroomed Apartments This type of accommodation is situated within the same building as the school and is ideal for students who would like to share their apartment with other students. Shared apartments can be booked as either single, twin or shared bedroom (maximum 3).
Residence Apartments The residence apartments are situated across the road from the school and consist of accommodation with three or four bedrooms. These budget apartments can be booked as either single, twin or shared bedroom (maximum 3).
Hotels For students who prefer the comfort of a four-star or a five-star hotel, Clubclass offers a wide range of alternatives all of which are within walking distance of the school.
Student Houses The houses are situated across the road from the school and consist of modern shared bedrooms and bathrooms and a shared kitchen. This budget accommodation is ideal for those who would like to experience student life to the full.
Hostel The hostel is situated across the road from the school and consists of modern bedrooms with private bathrooms and a shared kitchen. It is ideal for persons who would like to enjoy student life but want the privacy of their own bathroom. The hostel can be booked as either single, twin or shared bedroom (maximum 3).
Host Families All our English-speaking host families are situated within walking distance of the school. They are all carefully selected and are ideal for students who would like to reside in a family environment, experiencing the Maltese way of life.
Surrounding Area
A stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of St. Julians, Swieqi is a safe, residential area with its own quiet charm. Five minutes away lies the vibrant Paceville centre, densely packed with treats that range from huge multiplex cinemas and bowling alleys to night clubs and a lovely sandy beach.
Facilities
The major advantage offered by Clubclass is the variety of school amenities and complex facilities available within the residence which makes it ideal for international students to get together and communicate through the medium of English.
Air-conditioned Classrooms All our classes are large, bright, air-conditioned in summer and heated during the winter. Classes are well equipped, modern and finished to the highest specifications.
Internet FREE WiFi is available within the school premises during school opening hours from Monday to Friday. An internet café is located in the school / residence and vouchers can be purchased from the (Garden View Complex) reception. WiFi in the internet café area and in the apartments is also available at a charge. The internet café is open daily from 08:30 to 23:30. An 80-minute internet voucher is included in the registration fee paid by students over 18 and joining any of the adult courses at Clubclass. Students can collect their internet voucher from the school reception on their first day at school; additional vouchers can be purchased as above. WiFi connection is not available at the Hostel and Student Houses.
Multipurpose Room The 55 m2 multipurpose room has a sprung floor and wall-to-wall mirror. The multipurpose room is used for placement tests and school activities, such as parties, karaoke nights and student talent shows. The room is also regularly used for weekly classes which include aerobics, step classes, body toning, yoga, Pilates, etc. which students may join at a fee.
Outdoor Pool Open all year round, the outdoor pool and surrounding terraces are a popular place for students to relax in between and after lessons. The outdoor pool is a fresh water swimming pool measuring 12 x 7 meters and is open daily between 10:00 and 18:00 hrs. There is no charge for the use of the pool and sun beds.
Fitness Centre Thinkfitness is one of Malta’s top fitness centres. The 250m2 facility is fully equipped with a variety of cardio and weight training machines. A sauna, whirlpool and indoor pool are also situated within the fitness centre; the indoor pool is heated in the low season. A team of qualified instructors are available at all times during opening hours to assist students with their training requirements. Students over 18 years of age, can make use of these facilities at no charge before 16:00 from Monday to Friday and during opening hours on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. Students will be requested to pay a €10.00 deposit in order to obtain an access card to the centre. This will be refunded when the card is returned.
Indoor Pool, Sauna & Jacuzzi The indoor pool, sauna and Jacuzzi are situated within the fitness centre; the indoor pool is heated in the low season. Students can make use of the indoor pool, sauna and Jacuzzi at no extra charge before 16:00 hrs from Monday to Friday and during opening hours on Saturdays, Sunday and Public Holidays.
Pub & Restaurant A typical English pub & restaurant serving a selection of pizza, pasta, salads and grills. Meals for students on bed and breakfast and half board are served at the restaurant. The atmosphere is friendly and informal, especially when the pub is packed with supporters who come to enjoy live sports on the big screen.
Launderette A coin operated launderette with 2 washing machines and a tumble drier are available within the school residence. The launderette is open daily and tokens can be purchased from the reception during opening hours.
Activity
Students can participate in various activities such as Gozo Scenic Tour, Gozo Jeep Safari, heart of Malta Tour, comino ‘Blue Lagoon’ by Powerboat, beach Trips to Golden Bay, Paradise Bay, and Silent City Tour,Capital City Tour, Boat Party andWine Tasting Tour.
Malta was totally unfamiliar to me at the beginning. However,
my language study there was really good. First of all the location of Clubclass
was the best. In the class, there were no more than 10 people, so teachers gave
out individual attention to students. The money was no issue to me. There are
20 hours of class a week and 10 hours of it is for speaking. Speaking class
helps student to speak out loud and have better pronunciation. Through the
speaking class I became much more confident about my English. Accommodation
options are shared flat or home-stay. I lived in the residence, because the
facilities are great there. Also the school was near the beach side so I hanged
around there with international friends I made. All the things I experienced
there was great.
처음 몰타 어학연수는 조금 생소하다고 생각했지만 결과적으로 정말 만족했습니다. 우선 학교선정이 중요한데 그부분에 있어서 Clubclass로 가길 정말 잘한것 같아요. 효과적인 영어공부를 할 수 있도록, 한 클래스당 학생수는 10명이 안되었고, 한명한명에게 꼼꼼하게 신경써주시고, 돈이 아깝지 않았어요. 일주일에 20시간은 기본 영어수업을 듣게되고 10시간은 회화능력을 위한 클래스에요. 말을 유창하게 할 수 있도록 회화표현이나 발음같은 부분을 꼼꼼하게 배우고 자신감을 높이는 수업인데 저는 그 회화수업을 통해서 영어에 대해 엄청나게 자신감을 갖게됬어요. 학교에 있는 아파트에서 지낼수도있고, 외부에 따로 집을 구할수도 있는데 저는 일부러 학교내 아파트에서 살았어요. 왜냐면 학교안에는 학교에사는 학생들을 위한 편의시설이 정말 잘구비되어있거든요. 학교앞에 금방 바다가 있어서 친구들하고 바다로 자주놀러도갔어요. 시설면이나 ,교육적인면에서나,모두 만족하고 돌아왔네요.
