Nelson English CentreAbout the
Nelson English Centre started in 1995 with the goal of being a high quality school in one of most beautiful parts of New Zealand. Since then over 3,500 students from more than 20 countries have succeeded in improving their English here. Nelson is one of three places in New Zealand where students can sit Cambridge examinations and Nelson English Centre has developed a reputation as a preparation centre for Cambridge FCE and CAE. Nelson English Centre was accepted into ENGLISH NEW ZEALAND in 1999 and IALC in 2008. The school cooperates with Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) for further studies in tourism, IT and business. Our intention was to build a top quality educational institute in one of the most beautiful areas of New Zealand. We are committed to delivering a high standard of service to our students and have gained a reputation for consistent, quality teaching and excellent pastoral support. Our school has personality. We are not a chain school, but owned by a teaching Director helped by proud Nelson staff. The school has a ‘buzz’' and you will have the time of your life. Nelson is small and lively. It has a campus feeling with cafes and style. People are friendly and talk to you in English. Most variety. Golden beaches, forests and mountains one hour from the city centre. We can’t think of any place in New Zealand with so much variety.

Nelson English Centre tries their best matc the students with a family who has the same interests as them as well as trying to match their requests that Nelson recieve on the enrolment form, eg near the beach, family with children etc. The advantage of homestay is that students will get all day English practice and experience the kiwi lifestyle.
