World Wide School of EnglishAbout the
Worldwide School of English offers English language education for students at a great location in mid city Auckland since 1989. Worldwide School offers 7 levels of General English. Classes have a maximum of 15 students. The school offers Cambridge BEC Business English classes and the TESOL + TKT as well as Cambridge FCE/CAE, IELTS and TOEIC Exam Preparation classes. They have more than 30 different nationalities studying at Worldwide School. They provide the materials of General English course and IELTS for free. Every Friday afternoon they also have conversation/special classes, movie, IELTS/TOEIC practice tests or a cheap activity as options. All teachers are fully qualified and experienced native speakers. They have teachers from New Zealand, Australia, Canada, South Africa, UK and US.
Curriculum: Students can start on any Monday. We offer 7 General English levels: Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate, Advanced and Proficiency. Students are tested and placed carefully into their correct level on their first day at school. Students move up when they have passed the required skills tests. These tests are given on the first and third Wednesday of each month in two of the four skills: reading/speaking and writing/listening. In addition, teachers give regular grammar and vocabulary assessments. At each level we teach essential grammar, vocabulary, functions and we improve students' writing and reading skills. Students also receive a lot of listening and speaking practice and teachers encourage students to practise their speaking, give opinions and ask questions. 1 week is the minimum course length and 48 weeks is the maximum. General English afternoon classes have even more speaking and listening. There is a lot of pair and group work, discussions on varied and interesting topics, fluency activities, songs, videos/dvds, vocabulary and exercises to improve speaking and listening skills used in everyday English. Every Friday afternoon, full-time General English students can choose from conversation classes, a movie, an IELTS or TOEIC practice test or an out of school activity. Part-time morning only students can join the activity but not the other options. All students need to sign up to join these options by Thursday 4pm. The movie is shown in our school movie theatre. The activity options are an extra cost. We try to select low cost activities, usually from NZ$10 but sometimes we offer more expensive activities for around NZ$50. The school library is also open for students wishing to study independently after class hours. Classroom sizes range from 10 to 15 students per class. Every effort is made to keep classes at an ideal size for effective English language instruction.
Sample Schedule: Monday to Friday Morning: 9.00 am - 12.15 pm Monday to Thursday Afternoon: 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm

Testimonial –
New Zealand World Wide School of English
I needed to
improve my English skills and have decided to go take courses at World Wide
School of English, after researching and getting advices. World Wide School of
English is located in Auckland City and provided easy access to many useful
facilities. I could join the right course for me, because the curriculum was
divided into 7 different levels. There were about twelve students in one class.
One of the things I really liked about the school is that World Wide School
offers various courses. I really liked the Internship Program, in which
students could learn English and experience professional life as a farmer,
flight attendant or a volunteer. Also, World Wide School of English owned a
private theatre in which students can watch English movies for free! Another
special program offered by World Wide School is the Combo program. Students can
take one course at two different English schools, World Wide School and LSNZ,
at the same time. I really enjoyed this course since I could experience two
different regions of New Zealand. Not only that, teachers at World Wide School
were all very kind and caring. They took care of each students and provided
helpful classes. I enjoyed my time at World Wide School and had a great time
with my classmates. World Wide School of English offers a fun way to learn, and
I recommend this school to anyone who want to learn English!
