Accommodation
Homestay Students will have people to take care of them from the day they arrive and learn quickly about New Zealand culture. They will also practice their English with the homestay family. Students can enjoy "home comforts" which will reduce feelings of homesickness and develop a "network" of New Zealand friends and acquaintances. Some students enjoy homestay so much they stay there for up to several years and the homestay family becomes their New Zealand home! All Campbell Institute Homestay Families have been assessed by The Campbell Institute for suitability, and each family has a contractual obligation to The Campbell Institute to meet minimum standards, for example a warm and comfortable bedroom, and a friendly and comfortable environment. According to the New Zealand Ministry of Education Code of Practice homestay families for students who are aged under 18 years old must be vetted by the New Zealand Police as being suitable homestay providers.
