Unique New ZealandAbout the
Since 1989 Unique New Zealand has provided high quality English courses to adults, teens and juniors from more than 35 countries. Unique New Zealand is the school on the beach. Auckland City is a short 25-minute drive away so students can enjoy all the city has to offer as well as living and studying in a beachside suburb. Unique New Zealand has two modern buildings in Browns Bay, Campus 1 and Campus 2. The Teen and Junior classes are in Campus 1 as well as the adult recreation facilities and administration. Campus 2 provides classrooms and facilities for adult students. Unique New Zealand is registered as a private training establishment and accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. The institute is also signatories to the New Zealand Ministry of Education's Code of Practice for Pastoral Care of International Students. Unique New Zealand will prepare students for success in an English speaking world. Students will enjoy studying English and having fun in a beautiful, friendly, beachside community.

Curriculum :
Morning classes focus on grammar, vocabulary, speaking,
listening, reading and writing plus skills for living and working with English
speakers.
Unique NZ’s Afternoon Electives programme is project or topic-based.
Students select projects from a range of topics they have suggested, and study
a different topic every week.
The weekly modules are rich in
vocabulary, use an integrated skills approach, and grammar is learnt in the
process of completing the tasks in the module.
Classroom Hour : Classes are Monday to
Friday, from 9:15 am to 3:00 pm with morning break and lunch break in between.

Accomodation
Living with a New Zealand homestay family is the best way to practise English and experience New Zealand life. Unique uses quality homestay families who take great care of students. Many of the families are within walking distance of the school. Some of the families are a short bus ride away. Younger students (aged 13 or under) are usually driven to and from Unique by their homestay parents. All students have their own bedroom with a place to study. Students live close to the school and experience the real New Zealand in Browns Bay. 3 meals a day are included so students don't need to cook or buy food
Surrounding Area
Browns Bay is located on the North Shore of Auckland in the scenic East Coast Bays. Browns Bay beach is a popular swimming beach in summer and has a wide variety of great cafes and shops within a 5-minute walk of Unique New Zealand. Auckland City is easily accessible by bus or car. Unique New Zealand is located 25 minutes by car from the centre of Auckland city in the beautiful beachside suburb of Browns Bay.
Facilities
Campus 1 has the teen & junior classes as well as the administration staff. There is also the Self Access Centre and the CALL Centre which are used regularly by classes and individuals outside of class time to enhance their learning. There are recreation areas for juniors, teens and adults as well as computers with free internet access and wi-fi. Campus 2 is located approximately 2 minutes' walk from Campus 1. This building has most of our adult classes spread over its 9 classrooms. There are lounge areas for relaxing at breaktimes too.
Activity
Unique New Zealand has a full time student services team to help students with events, activities, and Weekend Trips. If students want to relax in the afternoon after class, find something to do at the weekend or take a longer trip the student services team can help them. There are lots of activities in Browns Bay and the North Shore. Auckland City has many events and places to visit.
