Situated at the heart of the city of Auckland, Federal Institute of Studies provide excellent languages teaching with the high standards of tuition. Classes are held in small class size so students can get lots of personal attention. All levels are taught at FIS and friendly and professional counsellors who speak students' languages are there to help students. FIS have a wide range of levels and course options to ensure the deliverance of exactly what students want. FIS also provide further placement to any Colleges, Institutions or Universities in New Zealand. Private lessons are also available on request. Bonus lessons in which students can chat informally with the teachers and other students are also provided every week. We offer extra tuition at no extra cost and students have access to various social and cultural activities. Accommodation
Homestay is recommended as the best way for international students to improve their English and soak up New Zealand culture. Their rooms are furnished with a bed, wardrobe, desk, lamp and chair and they receive two meals a day or three at weekends. The school can arrange a homestay for students. Students may also choose to go flatting, that is share a house or apartment with others, splitting the rent and other expenses. Backpackers and hostels are another option for students over 18. They share sleeping accommodation with others and use shared bathroom and cooking facilities.

Auckland is New Zealand's largest city, with a population of 1.3 million. Auckland is a wonderful place to live, work and study. Auckland is the leading commercial centre and business capital of New Zealand. New Zealand's amazing wildlife and pleasant climate make it a haven for many outdoor activities. Aucklanders enjoy a healthy lifestyle and a lot of outdoor recreation activities. Sailing, fishing, surfing and hiking are all popular. The locals also enjoy team sports such as volleyball, rugby, cricket, soccer and netball.
Activity
There are various events organized for students and festivals in which students can participate. There are lots of festivals organized by the community, such as Guy Fawkes Night, Parnell Festival of Roses and Newmarket Festival. FIS organizes special activities every week for the students. Students might go to museums, beaches, restaurants, cinemas, zoo, ice rinks and so many different places where they can have fun with their classmates.
