don Quijote Language School - SevillaAbout the
don Quijote was established in 1986 as a language travel agency representing Spanish language schools. The company's single-minded dedication to service and quality fueled its rapid growth and the school quickly earned a reputation for innovation, personalized service and excellence. In 1989, responding to the growing demand for high quality Spanish language courses, the school began welcoming students to the first don Quijote school, in Salamanca. Since ounding, it has grown to 7 company-owned locations in Spain and Latin America and a network of more than 30 partner schools, largely through the recommendation of more than 150,000 satisfied students. At don Quijote, the watchwords are Quality, Innovation and Partnership. While the staff of don Quijote continue to lead - in academics, in value and in innovation - they continually seek out new ways to take the quality of their courses and their service to their students to the next level. The school is a magnificent, typically Andalusian mansion of 1200m divided between four floors and situated in the very centre and heart of Seville. Located next to the Maestranza bullring in the historic quarter, it is in a zone where students will find a multitude of shops and restaurants characteristic of Andalusia. The school has 18 air-conditioned classrooms and common areas where they can relax after Spanish lessons, chat with their friends, sunbathe...

Accommodation
Homestay
Home stays offer students a unique opportunity to experience
Spanish life while living in the home of a local Spanish speaking family. Students
will speak Spanish all day long, out of necessity and fun and interest in the
family life they see unfolding around them. Accommodation in a host family allows
them to get the most out of their language course as it gives them a privileged
view of daily life in another culture. Students can
choose from a room with breakfast, half-board (breakfast and either a cooked
meal in the afternoon at about two o'clock or light dinner at ten) or
full-board (breakfast and two meals). Students will eat at local hours -
usually later than what they may be accustomed to- and students will eat local
foods, although the family will take their preferences into account as much as
possible. Students will be given their own house keys, so they can come and go
as they please. Students will also be able to receive phone calls at the family
home.
Apartments in Spain and Mexico for don
Quijote Students Students can choose to share
a student apartment with
four or five don Quijote students. In a student apartment students will prepare their own meals
and interact with don Quijote students of all ages and backgrounds. It is
recommended that students make a pact about speaking Spanish in the apartment;
other shared languages often take students away from Spanish language practice.
Although the student apartments are not very luxurious, they include all
the basic facilities: a bed, table or desk, chair and a closet wardrobe. Each
student apartment has a living room with TV, a fully equipped kitchen, a
washing machine and an iron. No telephones are available in student flats; we
suggest you use public telephones or local calling centers. Students share the
kitchen and the bathroom and, together, keep the house clean.
Spanish Student
Residences If looking for an inviting and well-equipped
stay just a quick walk from your classroom, the student residences may be the
ideal accommodation. The Spanish student residences have a youthful,
international feel and offer students all they will need in one building:
laundry facilities, TV, prepared meals or shared do-it-yourself kitchens, and
areas for studying and socializing. All of the student residences
offer individual, shared and triple rooms, shared TV, shared living/dining
rooms and washing machines. Bed linens are provided; it is suggested that
students bring their own towels, for maximum comfort.
Surrounding Area
Seville, the capital of Andalusia, is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities for travel and tours in Spain and the one which best keeps alive the spirit of its traditions. An explosion of colour and contrast, as well as the successful mix of the modern and traditional, means that Seville offers a wide range of cultural variety to cater for all tastes throughout the year: Flamenco, bullfighting, Semana Santa (Holy Week), The April Fair and the lively atmosphere in the streets due to the open and friendly nature of its people.
Facilities
The school has 18 air-conditioned classrooms and common areas where students can relax after Spanish lessons, chat with friends, sunbathe. There are 18 classrooms, library, computer room and wi-fi, conference room, offices, terrace, elevator, central patio, common areas, air conditioning, disabled access and etc.
Activity
The
school offers daily cultural activities and weekend sightseeing excursions
to engage students in the rich culture of the host cities. From the moment
