Host Family Accommodations in Spain
Living
with a host family has two major benefits. First, it's the best way to get to
know Spanish culture and see what daily life is like for a native Spaniard.
Secondly, our host families will speak to students in Spanish 100% of the time,
helping ythem practice the skills they're working on in class in an authentic
context. The school’s host families vary from young families to one or two
retired people, all Spanish speakers and are carefully selected to ensure that their
stay be as pleasant as possible. The staff does their best to find home stays
that will treat students as part of the family. The school will always try to
accommodate students within 10-30 minutes - on foot or via public
transportation - from the Enforex school, even in big cities like Madrid and
Barcelona. Students may choose between a single or double room as well as half
board (breakfast & dinner) or full board (all meals). If students have any
allergies, special dietary requirements, dislike of particular pets or any
other special requests, just let the school know in advance and the school will
do their best to satisfy students’ needs.
Student
Apartments in Spain If students want to make new friends from
all over the world while studying Spanish in Spain, then this is the best
option. The student apartments in Spain bring together international students
from the Enforex school in a pleasant, open atmosphere. The apartments are not
luxurious, but are completely furnished and equipped. No meals are offered but
each apartment has a kitchen with a microwave, pans, cutlery and everything you
might need to cook your own food. There are apartments of different sizes and
characteristics, booked according to availability. Most of them are located
within walking distance from the school or are accessible by a short ride on
public transportation. Students can choose between a single, double or triple room.
Student
Residences in Spain Student residences are centrally located in
most of our Enforex cities, at a maximum of 20-30 minutes from the school.
Choosing this type of accommodation will allow students to meet international
and - in some cases - Spanish students in a stimulating and fun environment. Students
may choose between a single or double room and half board (breakfast &
dinner) or full board (breakfast, lunch & dinner). Access to a private
bathroom may be possible. There are 4 different types of residences -
availability varies by destination. All our residences offer wireless internet
access.
University Campus Residences These
residences are big (from 35 to 150 students) and are mainly for Spanish
University students. University residences tend to be available only in the
summertime, although in some cities, such as Valencia and Granada, students may
be able to find a room during the normal school year. Because of limited
availability, the school cannot guarantee a placement in these residences.
Enforex
Student Residences These residences are much smaller (8 to 25
students) and are shared by international Enforex students. It is similar to a
shared student apartment, but here students can have half board or full board
and their clothes washed once a week. Family Style Residences Family Style
Residences are small residences run by a family. The average number of rooms is
5 or 6, and in most cases the student rooms are located in a different part of
the house. The family is in charge of cooking for the students, who may have
the meals together with the family or in a separate dining
room.
Student Residences without Board Although
meals are not included in this type of residence, there is a large kitchen open
at the students' disposal. This communal space is fully equipped with all the
essentials: utensils, stoves, ovens, microwaves, electric coffee makers and
refrigerators. There are also washing and drying machines available. Shared
areas are cleaned once a week.
Surrounding Area
Barcelona is one of the most important cities on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and the second largest metropolis in Spain. A cultural, social and political landmark in the country, the city stands out for its taste for the alternative, its acute aesthetical sense and its welcoming attitude, which results in a largely cosmopolitan population. Fittingly, Enforex Barcelona is the largest Spanish school in Spain with a capacity of 550 students, turning it into an ideal hub for socializing and making new friends from all over the world. The school is located right in the middle of the city, as well, ensuring perfect communication with a wide variety of public transport lines, both in the metropolitan network (nearby tube stations include Urgell, Universitat and Rocafort) and on the bus. “L’Eixample”, the area where the Spanish school in Barcelona is located, was conceived in the 19th century as an extension of the city’s original layout, chaotically inscribed within what today is known as the Gothic quarter. Built in the highly rational and efficient shape of a grid, the area has grown to form the cultural nucleus of Barcelona, placing us within walking distance of the main points of reference in the city, from the bedlam of Las Ramblas to the precincts of the university. In the heart of central Barcelona, the "Eixample" district Metro stops: Rocafort, Urgel, Plaça Espanya , Universitat, Plaça Catalunya Next to 6 different bus lines Walking distance from Las Ramblas, the university, cultural centers and much more.
Facilities
The first step to embarking on a successful and
productive stint at learning Spanish is to be in a comfortable, up-to-date
environment where to feel at ease and to perform in the most efficient way. To
that end, we have ample facilities in a four-storey building with gorgeous
terraces, a solarium terrace and as many as 50 classrooms, where students will
be able to enjoy some of the pleasures Barcelona has to offer (the pretty
views, the wonderful weather) while carrying out their work. Additionally,
fully equipped computer labs and a well-stocked library combine with the Wi-Fi
Internet service and the nicely air conditioned rooms to complete the settings
of an eminently modern language school, where the same goals as ever – learning foreign languages – are achieved
quicker and more efficiently through the use of the latest technology. Furthermore,
Enforex schools in Barcelona offer language classes to Spanish students seeking
to learn English, French and German. Therefore, our building practically
becomes a Tower of Babel where, nevertheless, a common platform is provided for
mutual understanding. In this sense, students might want to sign up for free
language exchanges with native Spanish speakers and practice with them what they
have learned with us. The school is a spacious, 4-storey building (3,000 m2)50
classrooms with audio-visual equipment. There are teacher's meeting room,
gorgeous terraces, Solarium terrace open all year round, computer lab with free
Internet access, Wi-Fi (wireless access throughout the school), a spacious,
fully-stocked, modern library, conference room with capacity for 160 people, wheelchair
accessible elevator / lift, air conditioning and central heating.

약 3개월 동안 바르셀로나에 있는 엔포렉스 다녀왔어요. 제 전공이 스페인어 인지라 전역하고 복학까지 시간이 남아서 한국에서 공부하는 것보다 현지에 직접가서 공부하는 것이 훨씬 낫다고 생각해서 짧게나마 갔다왔습니다. 제가 알기론 엔포렉스 어학원이 워낙 큰 학원이라 바르셀로나 뿐만 아니라 스페인에 다른 큰 도시에도 있는걸로 알고있습니다. 사실 제가 굳이 바르셀로나를 선택한 이유는 어렸을때부터 바르셀로나 축구를 좋아한 것도 있고 마드리드 다음으로 큰 도시여서 선택하게 되었습니다. 바르셀로나에서 공부하고 싶은데 바르셀로나는 까딸란어를 사용하는 것 때문에 고민하신다면 제 경험상 거의 상관없다고 말씀드리고 싶어요. 예를들면 바르셀로나 식당에서도 다 스페페인어를 사용할 뿐만 아니라 현실적으로 실생활 스페인어를 사용할 일은 많이 없다고 느꼈어요. 또한 학원에 한국인이 거의 없어서 외국어 공부에 집중하기에 더 좋은 장점도 있습니다. 물론 처음 갔을때는 한국인 친구가 없어서 조금 심심했지만 학원 선생님들도 다 친절하시고 학원생들도 친절하고 다 똑같은 처지이기에 그런 걱정은 안하셔도 될거같아요. 가기전에는 학원생들이 주로 유럽인들 일줄 알았지만 현실은 3분의 1이 중국인이라 느낄정도로 중국학생들이 많고 1월달부터는 브라질 학생들이 많이 들어왔어요. 그 외에는 다양한 국적의 학생들이 골고루 분포하고 있었어요. 수업은 오전 9시에 시작해서 보통 오후 1시까지 하는데 저는 추가적으로 오후 대화 수업을 1시간 더 신청해서 1시간정도 더 대화수업을 들었어요. 오전 수업은 주로 문법 어휘 교재를 중심으로 수업이 진행되고 오후 대화수업은 교재없이 프린트를 중심으로 주제를 정해놓고 대화를 자유롭게하는 부담없는 수업입니다. 오전에는 10시 50부터 11시10분까지 20분 쉬는시간이 있으며 쉬는시간을 전후로 두명의 다른 선생님이 수업을 하십니다. 오후 수업또한 다른 선생님이 수업하며 오전반이랑 오후반 학생들이 주로 달랐습니다. 학원이 큰 만큼 다양한 국적의 학생들과 교류할 수 있고 교재를 중심으로 체계적인 수업 시스템을 갖추고 있습니다. 바르셀로나 도시 선택을 고민하고 계신다면 꼭 추천해드리고 싶다고 말씀드리고 싶습니다. 관광도기로 유명한 만큼 교통수단이 잘 되어있고 무엇보다 타지역에비해 좋은 치안 및 다양한 관광 거리들이 많습니다.
