In terms of accommodation, a host family will allow you to integrate fully into the Spanish way of life by living day to day surrounded by the Hispanic culture. Alternatively, you can choose to stay in a shared flat with other students and discover the city at your own pace. 1) 유학을 결심한 이유
우선, 스페인이라는 국가를 선택한 이유는 다름이 아니라, 현재 한국외국어대학교 스페인어통번역과에 재학(휴학) 중이기 때문에 전공어를 공부하기 위해서 였습니다. 물론 한국에서 학교를 다니며 전공 수업을 통해 전공어를 익히고 배울수도 있지만, 군복무 중에 막연하게 “아, 나는 전역 후에 꼭 현지에 가서 다양한 문화와 사람들을 보며 공부를 해보고싶다.” 라는 목표가 생기게 되었습니다. 저는 뭐든 직접 겪어보고 부딪혀보아야 좀 더 와닿을수 있다고 생각했습니다. 따라서 전역 이후에 어학연수를 결심했다고 말씀드릴 수 있을 것 같습니다. 현재 스페인 말라가에서 enforex라는 어학원을 다니고 있는데, 타어학원이 아닌 enforex를 선택하게 된 것은 해외교육문화원의 추천이었습니다. 현재 너무 만족하며 잘 다니고 있습니다!
2) 학교 및 학업 경험
저는 앞서 말했듯이 enforex말라가라는 어학원에서 25년8월부터 단기비자를 신청하여 5개월 스페인어를 공부하고 있습니다. 모든 enforex의 학생들이 그런지는 모르겠으나, 저는 스페인에 온지 2주가 넘어가는 시점, 현재 DELE A1 단계부터 시작하여 스페인어기초에 해당하는 수업을 듣고 있습니다. 수업은 약 10명의 학생과 두명의 선생님으로 구성되어서 진행되고, 총 수업시간은 3시간40분 입니다. 강의는 주로 문법 위주로 진행되고, 중간중간에 학생과 선생님과의 대화, 학생과 학생 서로간의 대화를 통해 회화를 익히는 느낌이었습니다. 선생님께서 대화를 많이 할 수 있는 기회를 만들어주셔서 회화를 익히고 새로운 사람을 사귀는데에는 좋았습니다.
3) 현지 생활 & 적응
친구를 사귀는 것에 대한 꿀팁은, 저도 여기서 아직 많은 친구를 사귀지는 못해서 크게 조언해줄 수는 없을 것 같지만.. 밖으로 나다니다 보면 자연스레 생기는 것 같습니다. 저도 워낙 내성적인 성격이라 먼저 다가가고 친해지는 것을 힘들어하지만 여기저기 돌아다니다 보니 자연스럽게 하나 둘 친구를 사귈 수 있었던 것 같아요! 먼 곳까지 와서 집에만 있지말고, 혼자서라도 많이 보고, 많이 돌아다니는 것을 추천드립니다.
4) 해외교육문화원 이용 경험
“해외교육문화원”이라는 것을 이번 어학연수를 준비하면서 어머니를 통해 처음 알게 되었습니다. 처음에는 “혼자 준비해서 가면 되지 뭐 그런게 필요하겠어?”라는 생각을 했지만, 어학연수를 가야겠다는 저의 계획이 너무 막연했기 때문에, 조금 더 구체적으로 계획을 실현시켜줄 매체가 필요하겠다는 것을 준비하는 과정에서 깨달았습니다. 저는 이번이 어학연수가 처음이지만, 해외교육문화원은 저 같은 많은 친구들을 외국으로 보낸 경험이 있기에 다양한 포트폴리오를 참고할 수 있었던 것이 큰 도움이 되었습니다. 비자를 준비하는 과정에서 가장 많은 혼란을 많이 겪었었는데, 같이 준비해주신 선생님께서 이런 저런 도움과 조언을 많이 주셨고 어학연수를 떠나지 전, 시간이 굉장히 빠듯했던 시점에 직접 하나하나 찾아서 준비해야하는 수고를 덜어주셨습니다. 해외교육문화원이 아니었다면 스페인으로 날아오지 못했을수도 있을 것 같습니다..ㅎㅎ 저처럼 막연하게 유학을 꿈꾸고 계신 분들이 있다면, 너무 걱정하지말고 해외교육문화원의 도움을 받아서 좋은 경험 만드실 수 있었으면 좋겠습니다! 감사합니다!
