Standard Homestay Situated in a suburban location mostly in zone 3 and 4 of the London underground Network / with good bus connection to the school in Hastings / Located near good transport links to the city centre – average journey time 45 minutes London, 20 minutes Hastings, Cape Town host families are generally located in Green Point, Sea Point and Bo Kaap, close to the school. Some are within walking distance Families offer: - Bed & Breakfast (breakfast provided) - Half Board (breakfast and dinner provided) - Self catering (No food provided. Students can use the kitchen to prepare meals) - The student has the use of the house as a family member and there is a laundry service available - Most of our families offer Internet (WiFi). Residences - Hastings Our residence in Hastins is located within a 10 minutes walking distance from the school. - Single and shared rooms are available. - Self-catering (No food provided) - Cooking utensils are provided in the communal kitchen areas - Some rooms have shared bathrooms, some have en-suite (private) bathrooms - The residence provides bed linen (sheets etc) - The residence provides cleaners for communal areas. Students are responsible for cleaning their own room (and bathroom if en-suite)
Surrounding Area
Hastings school is ideal for students who prefer to study in a small coastal town. Not everyone wants to live amongst the hustle and bustle of the capital city. Hastings is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is only an hour and a half from central London and less than an hour from Brighton. The train station is 5 minutes from the school with trains running directly to London and Brighton. Our school is located next to the beach. In summertime our students spend their leisure time on the beach. Along the shoreline of a sea, there are different ways to relax. After playing volleyball or jogging on the beach you can watch the wonderful sunset. The spirit of the sea gives you the feeling of being on holiday, while you are improving your English.
Facilities
The Hastings school is in a large, impressive Victorian terrace overlooking the gardens in Warrior Square and the seafront with wonderful views of the square and the beach from many classrooms. The building may be large but the atmosphere is personalised and friendly. Our student study centre is fitted with computers, where the students can surf on internet, have a chat with their families, relatives and friends. Or they can study english online. After the english courses, our students use the lounge to spend their leisure time here. They play pool table and listen to music.
OECKO is established in 1981. It is On and Offline study abroad counseling center. We have more than 20,000 students who went abroad to study through OECKO, and these students are working in variety of fields. We made partnerships with all excellent universities in order to raise global students. Students can self apply to schools in USA, Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Germany, Spain, France and etc by him or herself without any cost.
