Established in 1955, St. Giles has experience of teaching English for over 50 years. With its international reputation for the quality of teaching, St. Giles has over 4 different locations where students can choose their personal schedule and focus on their needs. Programs are very flexible and can always be redesigned based on student’s interest, age, and ability. Lessons are exciting, fast-paced, and learner centered, and effective. All teachers at St. Giles meet the requirement of having certificate for teaching English as a foreign language (Cambridge CELTA or the Trinity Cert). St. Giles have been accredited by the British Council in the UK, the AAIEP and CEA in the USA and Language Canada in Canada.
Focus of Study and Benefits : General English 20 Lesson per Week programme is the perfect course for students who want to combine studying with leisure. Students will have free time in either the morning or the afternoon for private study in St.Giles' Self-Access Centres or to join activities and excursions with their new friends and enjoy culture.
Curriculum : General English classes offer the best value for money and the opportunity to benefit from interaction with other language learners from all over the world. Maximum class size is 12, which ensures that students will have personal attention from your teacher. Students will be placed in one of 6 levels based on their placement test results. Students can also choose to combine this programme with private One-to-one lessons for more intensive learning or to focus on specific needs and wants. The course is designed for students to speak with greater confidence and fluency with an increased vocabulary, develop listening, reading and writing skills and to have greater understanding of grammatical structure of English.

Accommodation
There is a wide choice of accommodation options: Homestay, student residences, and hotel. First Homestay option is relatively inexpensive, and breakfast and dinner are included every day. Hosts are carefully chosen and monitored. For student residences, there is Chester House Residence and Somerset Courthouse Year-around Residence. These residences are available all year around though students are asked to make arrangements as soon as possible. Lastly,hotels are also available for students aged 19 and above.
HOMESTAY (Some homestays are classified as Private Homes, accommodating 4 students or more.)
-Reservations are from Sunday to Sunday.
-NB: students must check in at homestays between 10.00-23.00.
-St Giles Highgate uses trusted homestay agencies on occasion.
-Twin rooms can only be reserved for students travelling together.
-In June/July/August junior students (under 18 years old) may be expected to share a room with another student of a different nationality of the same or a similar age.
